MomisodesCollage-2010

I’m a typical career mom turned turned stay-at-home. I worked for years as a traveling neonatal nurse- moving, saving babies, and holding my bladder for endless stretches of time. Now I’ve unpacked my bags in Boston, and occasionally use my stethoscope to plug my ears as a stay-at-home mom.

My husband (Dadisodes) and I have two amazing little girls- 4-year old Babisodes and newborn Bittysodes.  Both look nothing like me. Many claim I was just an oven, but I assure you, they are mine and my DNA is there.

About This Website

Momisodes is powered by Wordpress. Illustrations created by my brother (the sibling with artistic genes). Free coding and layout tweaks provided by Dadisodes (video game creator/geek extraordinaire) in exchange for hot meals and clean underpants. We all spend many, many hours neglecting our children in order to prettify this site.

This site also utilizes these Wordpress plugins:

  1. Complete RSS makes sure my full content shows in feed readers. Some of my readers have complained bitterly about having to click one more time to read my riveting entries in its entirety (you lazy bunch of…).
  2. Subscribe to Comments allows readers to check a box before commenting, and will provide e-mail notifications of further comments on the post.  Seriously, sometimes the comments alone here are more entertaining than my posts.
  3. Twitter Tools pull your tweets into your blog.  Creates new tweets within WordPress. And feeds your latest blog posts onto Twitter.  Pretty Twicky, eh?
  4. Feedburner Plugin forwards all feed traffic to Feedburner where I can evaluate how many people visit here in the blogosphere.
  5. StatCounter further enables my addiction to blog stats and traffic in greater detail.
  6. CommentLuv provides the title and link to commentators latest blog entry.
  7. Wordpress Gravatars displays commentators photo/avatar/logo beside their comment.
  8. ShareThis places a link below each post, allowing readers to spread the word on a blog entry via e-mail, Digg, Facebook, MySpace, Delicious, Stumbleupon, Technorati, Google Bookmarks, etc.
  9. Better Blogroll displays a configurable number of random links from my blogroll with every page load. It provides equal opportunity face time for my monster blogroll list. Just refresh the page to see a new set of blogs for your clicking pleasure.
