Away with the ladies

Last month, Dadisodes went on yet another business trip.  This time it was to California.

I’ve mentioned here many, many times about the one and only rule I have regarding his business trips and our daughter- Do not bring back any. stuffed. animals.

I am in no way exaggerating when I say she has enough stuffed animals to donate 1 for each child in China.  Seriously, no one ever gives her anything else as gifts.

Especially her father.

Before she was even born, he went out and bought her a tiny plush Blue’s Clues puppy while he was away.  And through the years, and many moves across the country, the furry beasts have piled higher and higher.

So whenever Dadisodes leaves out of town, I must remind him of that one rule.  I even offer suggestions, such as a magnet, a tee shirt, the cheap airplane headphones they try to weasel $5 out of you for, I don’t care!

But it rarely works.

Allow me to breakdown his track record:

- August ‘08 – Dadisodes returned with a stuffed road runner animal thing that had a striking resemblance to road kill.

- March ‘09 – The geek extraordinaire brought home ladybug MAGGOTS.  Not stuffed animals, but maggots.

- June ‘09 – Homeboy came home with these ladies (yes, plural)…

minneanddaisy
(Is it me, or does Daisy Duck look a little despondent about being the newest addition to the largest stuffed animal shelter, ever?)

How he managed to squeeze two plus-sized Disney bitches in his suitcase, I have no idea.  My guess is he left his boxers in the hotel for the cleaning service.

As I raised my finger and widened my eyes in his direction, he reached behind his back and gently slid this beneath my nostrils.

Wuss.

At least there was less laundry.

Daisy does look a little despondent, now that you mention it.

LOL….he was able to fit those HUGE things in his suitcase??? Awww, at least he got you something yummie. Bribery always works.

  7. ShellyNo Gravatar

Dude, did someone run over Daisy’s dog or something? She’s pathetic.

I have a theory that the stuffies multiply in the night and therefore I am never going to win the battle over their numbers. Sigh.

    Too funny! I have to say, Minnie looks just as cute as ever and Daisey looks like she may have had one too many on the plane ride home. I’m just sayin’. And the See’s candy would have made me crumble. I’m a total sucker. {LOL}

hahahaha! Bribery, a beautiful thing. And for the record, don’t tell my family, but most stuffed animals that make it to our house mysteriously end up being evicted before they even cross the threshold. It’s a rule, and relatives have been warned; NO STUFFED ANIMALS. lol!

Oh and Daisy does look a bit creepy. :)

Well, I suppose the candy makes is a LITTLE more bearable…

…but if I were you, I would make him get rid of some of the old ones, since he broke the rule! LOL!

Hubby used to do this with me. I swear, he was always buying me a stuffed animal. They are now piled high in my closet. I had a boy who is sooo uninterested in stuffed animals. What am I going to do with them all? But…they do hold memories for me.

And you’re right…Daisy Duck does look very put out.

The candy might have helped me a little but when I was done I would have been back on him about all those stuffed animals.

Geek or not, apparently he’s learned a LITTLE about women along the way. Well done, Dadisodes. Well done.

*talks to himself* let me see now – I WAS keeping score here somewhere – where did I put that sheet? Oh there it is … Hmmm … He’s learning – but he’s STILL way behind. Gotta give that boy some lessons. Let’s see … Lesson number one … always buy Momisodes WAY better presents than Babisodes, unless, of course, they’re made out of chocolate. Oh. Wait. He’s already learned that one. I’m gonna hafta think of something else …..

Aww, Dadisodes cares. And I happen to like that Minnie and Daisy. Maybe you should let Dadisodes have the right to bring stuffed animals, since he’s her Dad, and ask some of the other relatives to bring something else. After all, what little girl wants to get earphones from her Daddy?

This is the funniest post I’ve read all week – love it!

I must admit, Daisy Duck does look slightly despondent in this picture. Then again, perhaps it’s the large bill which serves as a mouth that simply makes her appear as such! :)
