Berry excited

The very next day after Babisodes’ 3rd birthday, she asked,

“Mommy, how long ‘til my birfday again?”

She did not like my answer.

Actually, she had no real understanding of how long 364 days was.

But now that the days leading up to her 4th birthday has dwindled down to double digits she can recognize, she is getting really excited.

When asked what she wants for her birthday, her constant reply is- party with my friends, and cake!

Apparently, the cake is key.

I made this pretend strawberry cake out of felt a few months ago.

And in anticipation and preparation for the big day, she throws herself a pretend party daily.  With make believe strawberry candle-wishes and all.

Awe… so sweet. I just was sharing pictures of Babisodes with my mom today – she adores children the age of Babisodes and thought she was heartbreakingly sweet. I agree. ;-)

So does this mean I shouldn’t be encouraging my son to get excited about turning three next month?

When did you have the time to make that cake, you domestic goddess? Well my nephew also turns 4 next week. When I asked him on the phone what he wanted for his birthday, he said “Wots of Twansformas”.

“How old are you going to be?” I asked.

    “Fouw”

“Does that mean you want four transformers?” I asked him.

    ::silence::he’s carefully counting his options…

“I want too many to tount Aung Mawy. Too many too tount twansformahs”.

    LOVE KIDS!!!

What a cute cake! And a cute girl, too!

Happy early Birfday Babisodes….we’ll be counting down the naptimes with you!
