It might sound a little crazy to some but I think staying home a lot and avoiding germy places is a great idea. I don't know if I'm going to get the H1N1 vaccine either. Fortunately, there will be a lot of other people ahead of me in line at the hospital. I'll let the be the guinea pigs. My daughter has had her flu shot but not the H1N1 and I have had neither as of yet. My husband works in the medical field and he is required to get both vaccines. For that reason alone - what germs he could be bringing into our home - I feel that we all should be immunized. You're right, those facts you found are not very good odds. I can see how you'd be scared but the facts speak for themselves. I know you'll make the best decision for your family. Myself, after a lot of thought and a lot of research (not to mention a good amount of trust in my doctors) I've decided I'm going to get the vaccine for H1N1. It just makes the most sense to me, and I'm pretty comfortable with the choice at this point. Good luck with your decision. It's a very personal one, I know. I've had several bad reactions to oral medications and am terrified of an allergic reaction brought on by something injected directly into my bloodstream.
