First Times, Forbidden Fruit, and a Mugger
I promise to do my best not to smear my child’s face all over this blog in 2008. As much as I love snapping her pictures, I’m sure none of you really want to see her mug every day. So before the new year begins, I’m using this last Weekly Winners event (created by Sarcastic Mom), as my last ditch effort to squeeze in some of my most savored first moments of her in 2007.

December 22nd – December 29th
Your first glimpse of the Charles River a few months after moving to Boston.
I could see it in your eyes. This was the right place for us to build you a home.
Your first taste of the forbidden fruit picked from a tree all by yourself. Such a sweet afternoon… Until you ate a ton of apple, and left us with regret mid-orchard.
Your first taste of a candy bar on Halloween.
“I pledge allegiance, to the flag of Hershey chocolatey goodness…”
Your first dance with another man. Naturally, he pursued you…but you had more lofty plans. You left this poor boy on the dance floor to pursue someone else- A man nearly the same age as daddy! *ugh*
Tagged and labeled in your first tot class.
Showing the sure signs that you were no longer my baby, but officially a toddler.
This summer, you finally enjoyed the swings! After two years of immediate tears
from the mere sight of them, like a switch you began to shine.
Ella, you are the light in my life, my heart, and my soul. As we transition one last time into our new home in 2008, I hope to create memories for you that will stay in your heart until I’m old and gray.
But one last thing…..
…please refrain from making your stuffed animals look like muggers again in shoe stores next year. We’ve called the cable company to cancel HBO. Thanks sweetie!

The first and the fifth are my favorites, especially the first — looks like she’s standing in front of a painting! Are you using a special lens (maybe a lensbaby?) to get the blurring effect in the corners, or are you adding that by hand in post?

I was all teary eyed when I looked through all of our pictures from 2007. I must admit. The one of her wearing the name tag was the dagger through my heart

Ella is BEAUTIFUL! Love the photos..especially the first one w/ the river in the background! OK..and the one w/ the apple..and the one w/ her nametag..You can’t pick a favorite, I see why you need to shower the pages w/ her pictures!!

I hope that isn’t a real thing, because I’m about as photo savvy as my 2 yr old 
I take my photos with a standard little Canon ELPH, and upload them into iPhoto, where I’m a bit heavy handed with the “edge blur” feature….I know, I need some serious help.

She’s adorable and these are some nice quality photos as well. The mugger piglet is pretty funny. Kids say and do the darndest things!
I saw you bravely joined the Blog 365 circuit (my new friend!) It’s really not that difficult. I gave myself that challenge when I started my blog and some days all that goes up is as video or a picture or a quote. Completely feasible, I say!
