Flied Rice

Last night after dinner:

Dadisodes: You’re getting a time out.  I told you “No.”  Sit down for 3 minutes.

Babisodes: *bottom lip quivers* But…but….Daaaaddy?  Waaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

Dadisodes:  You need to calm down.  Sit here and count to ten.

Babisodes:
(serious and straight-faced)  …“TEN!”

Grandma:  *grains of rice shoot from nostrils while restraining laughter*

Me:
*runs to computer to Google- Boarding School*

Awwww. She’s so cute. How can he get mad at such a little darlin’? And as for Grandma – better someone who’s willing to shoot rice out her nose than a fire breathing dragon.

    Poor princess…

Kathryn – we grandmas think it’s funny because we remember when you were little and doing the same things. Pay back is a bitch! We wished this on you every time you mis-stepped as a child. lol

Sandy, I’ve been watching America’s Got Talent. There is a little 4-year-old singer on the program who looks very much like babisodes. You ought to tune in.

Oh man…I would have spewed rice through my nose too! Hahaha! I usually try real hard not to laugh. I have various methods of hiding my glee which by the way is mainly due to the expressions on my kids faces.

Method 1. Glee is covered by the fake need to blow nose. This one is very handy for those times where you did not see it coming and you know that you are going to spit coffee or objects are going to projectile fly out of the nose.

Method 2. Hold laugh in as hard as you can and say “I think I hear the phone” and get out of the room as fast as your legs can take you. I am not sure what my grand kids think of my red face and wild eyes but I am sure that they already think I am a bit nuts so it works.
