Some dog experts consider a really healthy, organic meal of meat, vegetables and carbs to be the healthiest thing for a dog. My dogs loved cantelope and watermelon, as well as broccoli and cabbage (because they're stinky?), carrots and raw string beans. So I gave them some in a little bowl when I was making the same food for myself.
