Hot dog or taco? I can’t seem to figure it out.
I am not the most patient person.
Shocking, I know.
But I have never been very patient.
I mean, sure I can handle waiting the ridiculous 45 minutes to be seated at the Olive Garden, but once my ass hits that rolling arm chair, the endless stream of soup, salad, and heavenly breadsticks better start rolling in.
Pronto.
It’s really not a pretty side of me.
But since I’ve become pregnant, I truly have been making a concerted effort to enjoy each and every moment of this pregnancy as it comes. Even if the sudden drop of caffeine levels in my bloodstream has sent me postal at times.
Whatever. It’s all good. I just replaced each cup with 2 Oreos.
Pretty even swap, right?
In all seriousness, this pregnancy just seems to be flying. Probably because I know it will be my last. And all I really want is for my belly to grow a bit slower, and maybe some of these fleeting moments to last a bit longer.
So I guess this impatient trait of mine has done a little 180º for this pregnancy.
Sort of. Minus one thing.
I really want to know the gender.
Okay. So lets make this clear. Yes, I will be happy with whatever we end up having, I just want a healthy child. Yes, I will love the child regardless of the sex. And yes, I really want to know because….well, I just want to know RIGHT NOW.
See. Told you it was ugly.
But we cannot find out until about 18-20 weeks. I’m at 12.
*sigh*
So in the meantime I’m researching the most illogical, cockamamie old wives tales out there to determine the sex of this child.
And let me tell you, there are some seriously bizarre-o ideas floating around out there. And sadly, I’ve looked into most of them. Minus the Drano test. I’m not ready to resort to chemicals…yet.
So here are some of the results thus far:
1) Ancient Chinese Birth Chart predicts = Boy
(*Note- This chart said I would have a boy while pregnant with my daughter, so maybe this time it means a girl).
2) Carrying high or low somehow signifies a gender. I’m carrying low, which predicts = Boy
3) A fetal heartbeat above 140 predicts a girl, below 140 is a boy. The baby’s heartbeat has been in the 160’s and 170’s = Girl
4) Morning sickness signifies a girl. No morning sickness mean a boy. I thank the porcelain gods everyday I haven’t provided a puke donation = Boy
These gender predictors are just the tip of the iceberg. The dizzying list of hocus pocus and mumbo jumbo goes on and on, and none seem to add up to one answer.
All I know about this pregnancy is this: I am nowhere near as nauseated as I was with my daughter. I don’t crave chocolate like I did last time, just anything salty. While pregnant with my daughter, I loved my husband and wanted him around at all times. This pregnancy? I could seriously go for the whole I Love Lucy two twin beds in a bedroom set up.
All of which kinda sorta points me in the direction of not having a girl again.
But really, the actual reason I’m putting my money on a boy and not a girl this time?
I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO GASEOUS IN MY LIFE!
No lie.
This little bean is causing some major gastrointestinal commotion down there.
Only a little boy would find that amusing, right?
I imagine he is quite proud of bestowing his mom with the super power of clearing out an elevator.
What’s your guess? C’mon, you have a 50/50 shot.

lolol. i’m going boy, too. dude… now i want a hot dog AND a taco. you know i don’t need any food suggestions!
September 17th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
LOL! I love it. I agree on the gaseous little boy assumption, except for the fact that my little girl finds it inherently hilarious too.
Although, come to think of it, her Daddy might have taught her that….
We had a friend who found out the gender at 13 weeks it was their fourth child and they just put off going for their first visit until then, and the doctor said, “Yup, you’re pregnant. Oh – and by the way, it’s a boy.”
So, back to my comment a few weeks ago when you were nervous and wanting an ultrasound, make up a legitimate reason to get an ultrasound and offhandedly say,
“I just had a random thought… You can’t, by any chance, tell the gender yet, can you?”
September 17th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
Oh! I forgot to make my prediction.
Um……………BOY.
September 17th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
Boy. A girl wouldn’t make you flatulent.
September 17th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
Has your hair stopped growing or is it growing like crazy? (leg hair included)
How’s your complexion?
Are you drippy “down there” or dry?
Those were the three big differences in both of my pregnancies and I have one of each.
September 17th, 2009 at 5:35 pm
All of your predictors would have accurately pointed to my having a boy with my second pregnancy, so I’ll pick boy for you too.
September 17th, 2009 at 6:31 pm
Your little bean is so cute! What does your daughter want? I’m voting with her!
September 17th, 2009 at 6:36 pm
When I was pregnant with Gracie I went to visit the doctor I had with Isaac (he had retired from the baby birthing business since but we were friends). He was kind of a crazy loon with his theories and ideas about babies but I loved to hear them.
He put me on his tiny dinosaur of an ultrasound machine and told me the baby was healthy and happy. Then he asked me if I was feeling different with this pregnancy than the last. I was. I was eating more and feeling sicker. He told me then, hands down that I was having a girl. I was ten weeks along.
My guess….it’s a boy. But I have no theory as to why.
September 17th, 2009 at 6:36 pm
I’m having a vision …. wait for it …. yes …. yes …. I’m seeing …. a little boy …. swimming …. No. Wait, that’s some kid named Billy-Bob and he’s been having fun blowing farts in the bathtub.
September 17th, 2009 at 6:39 pm
OMG – I JUST got the Hot Dog or Taco thing. DUH! Slow?
September 17th, 2009 at 6:41 pm
I’ve never had a baby and it will take a miracle bigger than I can imagine and I’m happy with that. However, I do love joining in the games of the rabbits all around me on guessing gender and birth date of their little bean. I’m scoring in the high 40% range.
I won’t make a guess, but I loved your hot dog or taco post title.
September 17th, 2009 at 7:01 pm
Dude I know! I’ve got 5 more weeks until we find out, our ultrasound is scheduled for 18 weeks, and I’m dying to know.
Hmmm, not sure. I will say I was gassy with my son and not gassy so much with this one. So maybe you’re having a boy and I’m having a girl? Your chinese fortune calendar points to girl for me, which would be awesome since Nate said he wanted a baby sister this morning (I keeled over from the cuteness). What did Babisodes ask for?
Based on the profile, I predict an insanely adorable baby.
September 17th, 2009 at 7:08 pm
Boy. But then again I always think everyone is having a boy, including myself. I have an almost two-year-old and one cooking, both girls. They both should have been boys according to everything except the heartbeat. Both pregnancies have been very similar so far. Gosh it’s fun to guess, but I know what you mean about going crazy wanting to know!
Mostly though, I just want to say that it is so refreshing to hear about someone who is actually enjoying each moment of pregnancy! I feel like such a weirdo for loving pregnancy and taking the time to enjoy each little stage, when according to the rest of the world I’m supposed to be complaining about how much I hate the whole process. Good for you!
September 17th, 2009 at 7:23 pm
A girl. Well I hope it’s a girl anyway. The only thing better than having a little girl is having 2 little girls. Trust me!
September 17th, 2009 at 7:55 pm
I’m saying boy, just because. And also because I think every woman should experience having a son.
September 17th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
As I’ve been doing the research for my history of motherhood series, I’ve run into a ton of old sex determination mumbo jumbo.
My personal, non scientific, anecdotal experience? All the signs in each of my pregnancies supposedly said girl.
Four boys. Nuff said.
September 17th, 2009 at 8:06 pm
Ok, as I started reading I couldn’t at first figure out the title of your post…now my vote is definetly BOY not only because of your little elevator-clearing issue but because a girl would NOT cause you to think of such vulgar titles for a sweet, lovey, baby-related post
)
Loved it, you are truly talented!
September 17th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
I say Boy.. bOY BoY boy..
September 17th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
I say boy. But I think a girl would be fun too. But I still say boy.
FOR SURE.
September 17th, 2009 at 8:35 pm
My 3 pregnancies have all been very different. Girl the first time (constantly nauseated for 3 weeks, never puked, gestational diabetes). Boy the second time (constantly nauseated and puking for 11 weeks, no gestational diabetes). Don’t know this time (dry heeves for 5 weeks, constantly nauseated for a little longer than that, failed 1st gestational diabetes test but passed second). I wonder if I’m not carrying a little hermaphrodite…
I don’t even think their “parts” differentiate until like 15-16 weeks….
September 17th, 2009 at 8:49 pm
Try the wedding ring trick! Take your wedding ring and loope a piece of your hair through it, then put it over your belly. If it swings in a circle it’s a girl. Side to side-boy. This really works! To test it all you have to do is hold it over your palm then hold it over your husbands palm. It should swing in a circle for you and side to side for hubby. It was right for me every time.
Also, I guess boy, just because that is what your intuition seems to be telling you.
~Sassy
September 17th, 2009 at 9:28 pm
Okay, I JUST got the hot dog/taco thing. Duh.
I always thought I would be one of those wait for the surprise at birth types, but no, no, no. I HAD to find out the sex of my child. Had to.
And I’m going with hot dog.
September 17th, 2009 at 9:29 pm
Did you get rid of all your baby girl clothes? If you did that means you’re definitely having a girl. Kept all the girl clothes then you are having a boy.
September 17th, 2009 at 9:40 pm
Sandy,
That’s so funny! I’m actually 2 weeks behind you and I’m dying to know too. It’s the most horrible thing to have to do-wait and have patience. Can’t wait til you find out.
By the way, I think you’re having a boy and as for me I’m crossing my fingers for a girl.
I’ll let you know in November.
Evie
September 17th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
my vote goes with boy too. (because I can relate to the I love Lucy bed situation!)
and your post title CRACKED ME UP!!!
September 17th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
LOL…I’m going with boy too! But I do have to say that I had three very different pregnancies…each time I went with simply my gut feeling and each time I was right!
September 17th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
You sound a lot like me when I was pregnant with my son…especially the part about the “I Love Lucy” twin beds. It got so bad, he ended up sleeping in the floor at the foot of the bed in my last trimester!
September 17th, 2009 at 10:55 pm
I’m sort of secretly hoping it’s a girl because I LOVE having two girls. They are so much fun and so close.
But I have to agree, the gas points towards it being a boy.
September 17th, 2009 at 10:55 pm
Boy:)
September 17th, 2009 at 11:09 pm
You are too funny, Sandy!!
The next 6 weeks will fly by…you’ll see..lol.
I always loved getting those ultrasound pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
September 17th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
OK. You can’t go with the old wives tales. I was so sick with my son for two months. And his heart rate was above 140 many a time. A friend told me I was having a boy because I craved meat like she did with her boy.
But…I will say one thing. I was seriously gassy with my boy. I mean….bad. It would clear a room. And it hasn’t really gone away. Dang it.
I can’t wait to find out. I’m a bit impatient too, so guess how much it killed me when they told me they couldn’t see if it was a “him” or a “her” then they told me they couldn’t do another one because my insurance wouldn’t pay for it, unless it was an emergency. Aaargh! So I found out the day he was born. And it was awesome!
September 17th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
LOL, I was always the same way…it’s awful having to wait to find out!
September 17th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
Hmmm… Those old wives tales have a 50/50 shot, but it would help if they all predicted the same thing!
I’m guessing a boy. No reason, just ’cause it’s fun!
September 17th, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Okay, I predict…You’re going to have a…
I really don’t know! Initially, I thought girl. Then I had a feeling it was a boy. Now I feel it’s a girl again. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!!!
You are soooo lucky you get to find out the gender! At our hospital, the technician was not allowed to tell us! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
I remember last year when I was pregnant, you referred me to that Chinese Birth Chart and we talked about me having ALL DAY SICKNESS for the whole pregnancy, and about the baby’s heart rate being high. Lots of things pointed to the possibility of Little One being a boy and lots pointed to the possibility of her being a girl. In the end, we had a beautiful baby girl. For my entire pregnancy I was convinced she was a boy…up until four or five days before she arrived. I was 27 weeks pregnant and the nurse was checking her vitals while I was hooked up to the fetal monitor and the heart beat was racing and the baby was moving like crazy. It was then that I thought, “Oh! Maybe it’s a girl!”
LOVE that ultrasound pic! What an adorable baby already!!! XOXOX
September 17th, 2009 at 11:37 pm
Oh! I was just reading Lisa’s comment (@ Boondock Ramblings). Do you guys have to pay for ultrasounds in the States?!?!? I don’t think we have to (or our insurance) for them in Canada. When I was pregnant with Little One last year, I had about six or seven ultrasounds and was never charged for them. Can you imagine having so many ultrasounds and still not getting to find out what gender the baby is? Well, my husband wanted to be surprised anyway. But still…having the option would have been nice!
September 17th, 2009 at 11:42 pm
Since my pregnancies were totally different from each other I’m going to say boy. However, I had morning sickness with all of my pregnancies (I was sick for a good part of the day with my daughters).
September 17th, 2009 at 11:54 pm
I will say it’s another girl… and I am only basing that on the heartbeat. That heartbeat business has turned out to be so true for me. Every woman that I know including myself that has been pregnant with a boy has had baby heatbeats in the 120’s – 130’s and the handful of pregos with girls have had heatbeats in the 160’s and 170’s. It has never failed for me. But it would be awesome if you could have a boy then you would have one of each! I would offer you one of my boys, but you wouldn’t keep him long.. lol.
September 18th, 2009 at 12:00 am
I predict that at 18 weeks, you’ll either be able to see “his” …ahem…”manhood” and know for sure that it’s a boy. Or you won’t be able to see it and you’ll have to wonder some more.
Personally, I’d go with your gut. Woman’s intuition is a powerful thing. Actually, i had very strong impressions about each of my children and I was right all three times. And, no, I’m not a woman.
September 18th, 2009 at 12:17 am
OMG I’m still trying to recover from “Hot dog or taco”! Best. Title. Ever
Well these are my *stats” if you will. With my SON, I was active, ate healthy yet still gained 30 pounds. Probably because all I wanted to eat was candy, slurpees and cantaloupe. Oh, and I couldn’t STAND the thought of eating chicken.
With my daughter I sat on my behind, and pretty much all I could eat was greasy fast food burgers. And I only gained 13 pounds. (Don’t ask and don’t hate. I seriously have NO idea how that happened!) And I couldn’t brush my teeth for the last 4 months because anything other than food or water made me sing to the porcelain throne.
September 18th, 2009 at 12:55 am
Happy Friday! I’m going with a “boy”. It’s a 50/50 thing, you’re right. I had a boy and didn’t look pregnant at all from the back – but oh, did I have morning sickness! Ugh! (don’t miss that.)
I actually hope you get to have one of each. I wish I could have.
September 18th, 2009 at 3:34 am
well, the chinese calendar was wrong for me – all three times! hee hee – when was that ultra sound taken? Are you still seeing your fertility spec. or back to OB? I was able to find the sex out when I was 13 weeks with my last baby. I was seeing an endocrinologist with my last pregnancy and he did the ultrasound at 13 weeks and told me and every few weeks after that up until my regular ultrasound at my OB at 20 weeks.
September 18th, 2009 at 8:28 am
Oh my…you’ve really done your research…lol. My guess is…a boy. When I was pregnant with Lil T, I never had morning sickness and flatulence was definitely an issue for me. So I say a boy. And look at the ultrasound picture, the way the baby is just lounging back with no cares in the world….gotta be a boy!!! LOL
September 18th, 2009 at 9:00 am
It’s just a miracle, no matter which way it goes! How amazing to see the ultrasound in my RSS reader! Have you tried the pendulum test? (clockwise or counterclockwise, can’t remember which was for which). I’d say boy from your gas comments — very funny!
September 18th, 2009 at 9:13 am
LOL with all the ways to guess the gender. People comes up with so many creative ways for sure.
When I was pregnant with my first one, the doctor who did my ultrasound said it’s 90% girl. I mean WTH!!! 90% girl. Why can’t they just say it’s a boy or girl straight out. So even though, we did the ultrasound we still ended up wasn’t sure till the end. Hope you will get more concrete answer than me.
September 18th, 2009 at 9:26 am
Well I’m guessing boy since this one is so different from your last (girl). For me that was how I could tell the difference…. for me pukie equaled boy and smooth sailing girl. That’s why I was convinced I was having a boy with the twins cause I’d been so sick…. I was right I just got the bonus of a girl as well!
September 18th, 2009 at 10:30 am
Google “angle of the dangle”. No, seriously. Based on that, I’m guessin girl.
September 18th, 2009 at 11:25 am
I didn’t read through the comments so sorry if someone already said this but a friend of mine has paid twice to go to one of those 3D Ultrasound places and they have a package that is simply gender recognition. They told her at 14 weeks you can find out. If you are that anxious, try one of those! I think they don’t make you pay unless they for sure can tell you the gender! Good luck!!!
September 18th, 2009 at 11:57 am
I’m like you – I COULD NOT WAIT to know what I was having. I don’t know how people do it who decide not to find out. Ever heard of the ring test? A friend of mine did that one on me and it was accurate. Of course, the test also said I was going to have four kids…and I definitely don’t see that happening. haha
September 18th, 2009 at 11:59 am
I’m not up to making those kinds of predictions. I like my odds to be a lot better than 50/50 before I risk being wrong. (I so rarely am.) Whichever it is I look forward to reading all about him/her for years to come.
September 18th, 2009 at 12:29 pm
I am going to guess girl. I am usually wrong so that means you are going to have a boy.
September 18th, 2009 at 1:33 pm
I was sick for almost the entire nine months with my older son. I was sick for the first three months with my younger. I carried low with both…way low. Like second pregnancy resulted in a maternity belt thing low.
I’m not pregnant and I still want my dang food…pronto.
Maybe you’ll get a taco AND a hot dog…but, you know…in two separate little baby packages not all in one. >,<
September 18th, 2009 at 2:23 pm
Since it’s so different this time, I’m going to guess boy!
September 18th, 2009 at 3:20 pm
Ok – I’m supremely unqualified to make a guess here, but one thing I just wanted to ask about – I thought that, in the old wives’ tale about carry high or low, high=boy, low=girl. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’ve always heard that boys are carried really high up. Whatever that means…So, based on that totally accurate knowledge, I’m going to gues…
Boy!
September 18th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
I’m going to guess a girl, just because.
As for the wives tales…
1. According to the chinese birth chart Zack was supposed to be a girl, and Max a boy, so 50/50 there.
2. I carried low with Zack and high with Max till the end of the pg.
3. No idea about the heart rates now – those things have totally gone from my mind, but hey, Max is almost 2 now, so I’m allowed!
4. I had the WORST morning sickness/HG with Zack for pretty much the first 5/6 months, and barely any with Max, and that petered out at around 14/15 weeks.
Hope the pregnancy continues to go well for you, and glad to hear you’re enjoying every minute of it! Love the pic of the lil one. xx
September 18th, 2009 at 5:02 pm
What a truly awsome picture of life in the earliest stages.
great photo friday
September 18th, 2009 at 6:18 pm
I am 35 weeks preggers. At 34 weeks, for the first time EVAH! the heartbeat was 135. Before that it was 140+. I had horrible nausea, I’m carrying from the hips, all I want is fresh fruit… It’s a boy. I haven’t wanted bacon and steak like with the last 2 pregnancies (boys), so I was kinda shocked when I looked at the screen and said, “oh my gosh, it’s another boy. I’m gonna die!” My oldest (5) was even convinced he was gaining a sister. And how do you argue with a child? The hardest part for me was waiting till 21 weeks to know. I found out at 16 weeks with both boys (different doctor’s office — actually, different state!). It’ll go by fast! Good luck!
September 18th, 2009 at 6:59 pm
I had horrible morning sickness with all my kids (2 girls, one boy). The heart rate theory was also a bust for me.
My sister in law had an ultrasound at 8 months and they told her ‘girl’…and it was a boy.
I don’t think you can truly know for sure til it comes out. I mean 100%, lol. You’ve got a long way to go. Then again ultrasounds are getting better and better every year…just wait. And just eat lots of chocolate while you’re waiting. lol
September 18th, 2009 at 8:18 pm
I’m buying your reasoning. I have 4 boys who live for gas…
September 19th, 2009 at 12:40 am
2-1in favour of a boy so far – now I can’t wait and i’m WAY less patient than you are!!! congrats! you really seem to have enjoying yourself – only 6 more weeks til u find out – HA!!!
September 19th, 2009 at 1:19 am
Oh man, you crack me up so bad! I only JUST got your references to the hot dog and taco..duh! I’m REALLY impatient, too. It must be killing to have to wait that long to find out the gender of your precious other life!
September 19th, 2009 at 1:24 am
Add another tale to that: some say the preggy woman’s blooming when carrying a girl, and likes to groom herself; when carrying a boy, she doesn’t care for her looks and she would not be as pretty and her nose would be bigger. Funny, isn’t it? I exhibited the latter, but I ended up having a girl.
September 19th, 2009 at 1:27 am
BOY! I have one of each so you should have one of each. How’s that for hocus pocus mumbo jumbo??
September 19th, 2009 at 5:06 pm
I had no idea where the title was going. You made me snort. I love the way you write. I can’t imagine waiting to find out. I’d go nuts, too. Which would lead to even more oreos maybe, which are kind of unisex.
September 19th, 2009 at 7:45 pm
I’m quite good at this, even from a long distance. I’ve managed to get 50% of my gender predictions come out right. Using a complicated mathematical process that weighs in the earth’s rotatory axis, mar’s greater tangential influence over earth’s orbit, and the fact that I like hotdogs (not that sort of hotdog mind you) better than tacos, I’m guessing it’s a boy… of course, I’ve been known to miss half my guesses, so it’s still up for grabs.
I think either gender would be lucky to have you as their momisode. Glad to see your momisodes season 2 btw, haven’t been here since season 1! Sure looks good!
September 19th, 2009 at 9:29 pm
I’m guessing aboy! I always wanted to know what I was having too!
September 20th, 2009 at 7:42 pm
oooh…my boy caused some rumblings down there as well…hang in there!!
September 20th, 2009 at 10:56 pm
girlfriend, i nearly rolled out of bed when i read the title of this post.
you DIDN’T!!!! (well, yeah, you did!)
i say boy. just cuz i can.
September 21st, 2009 at 12:09 am
Boy, boy, boy!
September 21st, 2009 at 1:41 pm
Love the title. I’m voting boy.
September 21st, 2009 at 2:49 pm
I’m nominating you for Funniest Blog Title ever! I just started laughing as soon as I saw it! : 0
And I think boy.
September 21st, 2009 at 7:37 pm
Hmm, hard to say. My first two pregnancies were totally different and they were both girls, but the gassy thing makes me think boy. I seem to remember that difference…
September 22nd, 2009 at 1:53 am
I’m thinking boy. And I LOVE the post title too! I can’t wait till you find out which it is.
September 22nd, 2009 at 6:12 am
I’m thinking boy as well. But I had opposite wives tales with mine. I had a low-carrying girl and was more nauseous with the boy. And I was gassy with both, I could compete with a truck driver!
September 22nd, 2009 at 2:41 pm
Boy. And first I was hungry because of your title, and now I am NOT AT ALL HUNGRY OH GROSS.
September 22nd, 2009 at 2:54 pm
EVERYTHING for us pointed towards Boy (no morning sickness, all the gender charts, even a tarot card reading and never forget how important the mothers intuition is… I was SURE we were having a boy. ) We chose not to find out at the U/S’s… but when the doctor said “Look at her!” My husband and I were both certain he was talking about a nurse because we were having a boy. LOL!!!
September 23rd, 2009 at 1:38 pm
Oh yeah… my prediction for you? Boy.
September 23rd, 2009 at 1:38 pm
I carried high, I craved nachos, he had a low heartbeat, and I only puked twice in 9 months.
I, of course, vote BOY!
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:08 pm
Why yes, it’s a scientific fact. Gas = boy.
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:35 pm
I thought my little girl was a boy for the longest time thanks to the Chinese calendar. I tried to find out 3 times before I actually found out it was a girl. First it was too early, then it wasn’t in the right position, then it was too late, too big to see between the legs. I think you’re having a boy.
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:34 pm
hope u have what u want!!! take care
September 24th, 2009 at 1:29 am
Have you tried the flaming marshmallow toss to determine gender? If you can hold onto it for 1 second or more it’s a boy. If less than 1 second — a girl! Yep, ancient Bulgarian wisdom.
September 24th, 2009 at 10:42 am

Momisodes, I am not into predictionss, even when I am guaranteed a 50 % chance of being right. I enjoy yer thoughts. I am glad, regardless the reason, that there is no vomit involved

Boy for sure. Sweet cravings are definitely girl, salty are boy. So are protein ones. That’s my two cents at least.

I’m thinking (and hoping) for a boy for you.

The captain wanted to know if we were having a prince or a princess,I did not. He was hoping for a princess. We got the word after I had an amnio. He was thrilled that he was getting a princess. Wonder if he still feels that way?
I’m hoping that you have a trouble free pregnancy.

Took me a second to read it because I was laughing too hard at the title. Now I might be grossed out but still laughing. Only because at 21 weeks prego neither of those foods sound good! I totally get the SLOW DOWN! as this is my last pregnancy unless the vasectomy my husband is going to get fails. Then I promised that I would have the surgery if we had a 4th. Ha! Then we’d both be fixed! I could not wait to find out boy or girl. It is impossible. I did resist buying one of those drugstore kits to test from 6 weeks but it was HARD! I am going to say BOY too – but I guess a lot and I am always wrong!
