I’ll be missing for a while
That’s it.
I’m leaving.
Out of town that is.
After a year of putting our lives on hold because of health procedures, trying to conceive, and job lay-offs, we finally bit the bullet. We’re taking a vacation next month.
Realistically, this does not fit into our budget, but when we found incredibly cheap airfare for all three of us, we could not pass it up (plus, BlogHer ‘09 sold out! *cries*).
We will be heading down to South Florida for two whole weeks. My parents have offered us lodging at their house, and we’re planning to bring Babisodes to meet Mickey and his friends. For me, I don’t really care what we do. I’m just looking forward to two glorious weeks of weather above 40º F degrees.
Flowing skirts. Flip flops. No sleeves!
Warning to all Florida residents: Some stark white Bostonians are coming your way to invade your beaches and poolsides. You may want to invest in some decent eye gear, because one of them will be parking herself permanently beside the water.
P.S. Yes, I am bringing two bathing suits, and yes they each come in 2-pieces. Don’t say I didn’t warn you about the eye gear.

I hope you have a blast. And seriously? YOU SHOULD GO TO SEA WORLD. I tell this to everyone. Disney World is great and all, and I love it there too, don’t get me wrong. But Sea World is where the real magic is.
And don’t worry – I live here and I’m probably paler than you. I just hope it warms up some before you get here!

Momisodes, my time to disappear to beaches in an archipelago nation about 6-7,000 miles from here. I will be a scant 1, 600 km from the cities of Davao and Cagayan de Oro. These are places where my stark legs caused some to put on theiur sunglasses to protect from the glare.
This journey will be different, though. This country not the same as the Phils. I will see different culture, enjoy different foods. I have never seen more than three houjrs worth of Florida, and m y last time at Disneyland (in California) was over twenty= y=ears ago. I hope your tme, you vacoation is wond9erful.

When you head to Mickey town, shoot me an email and perhaps we will bring our little ones there as well and we can do lunch or take in a parade. We go all the time since we live here and all and would love to say hello! At the least I’ll give you some tips on where to get your eat and drink on. Also, the weather will be back to the 80’s starting tomorrow so weather will not be a concern. Enjoy!
