Just in time for bikini season
What?
This not the bikini view you hoped for?
Me neither.
But unfortunately, this is what I have now.
I was so relieved when I avoided surgery while giving birth two months ago.
Apparently, my sighs were a tad premature.
Friday night I was rushed from the E.R. to the operating room to have my appendix removed.
Awesome right?
Now I look like I was sprayed in a drive by shooting.
There is a third bandage, but I’ve decided that way too many people have been looking at my lady parts as of late.
I am still trying to look past the fact that this all happened at a teaching hospital, with many, many students.
And I did not shave that day.
And my panties had a hole.
And I was in the E.R. for so long without a pump that my boobs leaked everywhere.
I’d laugh at myself, but it freaking hurts.
Yup, I’ve resolved that I will be so far from looking hot for a very, very long time.
Good thing I have Percocet to get me through it all.
Narcotics and stool softeners.
It’s all good.

Moms do a lot so be sure to send flowers for Mothers Day this year.
Oh honey, I hope you feel better soon– That was one of the WORST surgeries I’ve ever had– OMG, the pain before, and then after. HORRIFIC.

A few months after I had my son, I had to have my gall bladder removed. That required four holes. I win. (ha. ha.)
I hope you heal QUICKLY!! And if you don’t, I hope you are waited on hand and foot!!

I had mine taken out the old fashioned way.they cut me open.and that was really fun when the insion became infected.

Glad to hear you’re on the mend. Go with the tankini, even if just for this year. And if you’re pumping, the engorged boobs should overshadow everything, so it’s good.
I begged my doc to take my appendix out during my C-sec. I wanted a tummy tuck too. Didn’t get either. I’d stick with the shrapnel story.

wow! im so sorry you had to have surgery, and i totally hope you recover quickly, i had my gall bladder removed shortly after giving birth to my first baby and it was hell trying to recover and take care of him! ….on a serious note, you just had a baby two months ago and your belly is that flat??!?!?!?!!? WOW !!! awesome!!!

Thank goodness you are alright! And as a nurse I’m sure you know that the medical staff (even the students) has seen worse than your furry legs and the holes in your panties.

P.S. If it makes you feel any better. Some of us are actually still going to be pregnant this summer. At least you can enjoy it without feeling like you have a watermelon shoved in your gut!!

Thank god you’re all right. You’re so funny, worrying about wearing a bikini and not shaving when your actual life was in danger. Well be glad for the narcotics and stool softners, I was there too when 3 weeks after my first son was born I ended with my gall bladder out. That was terrifically painful and traumatic experience I wouldn’t want to repeat either. I’m glad you’re ok now though.
Who needs bikini’s anyways.

Oh no! A friend of mine who had a baby recently had to have an emergency appendectomy shortly after the baby was born, too. Is there some relationship between the two? Glad you’re okay, albeit in pain and constipated. Better days ahead!
