This Week’s Theme: Road

 PH-Road

I love how different the world looks at night.  We rarely get a chance to go out in the evening, but when we do, one of my favorite things is watching the reflections of light along roadways.

I remember when I was a small child I would sit in the backseat and close my eyes to tiny little slits and watch the lights go by in a blur as we rolled down the road. It was always so cool.

Absolutely – the sizzle of nightlife; there’s so much energy at night. My youngest son used to LOVE driving at night and watching the lights zoom by – it was the only time of the day he wasn’t babbling. lol

‘Kewl’ shot … I hardly ever drive at night any more. I never know what ‘commentluv’ is going to come up with these days … so I’ll just add that mine’s at Sacred Ruminations ;–)

Wonderful shot — With night shots you feel the speed as the lights blur together. Also read your ‘ku from yesterday. I enjoyed that also. How much longer will you have family with you? Try to enjoy them then tell us all about it when they leave. :) When you get a chance drop by my road is different yet. Patsy

The night holds many secrets. It’s mystery is an attraction for some – for many, even. But night’s mysteries fade in the daylight when all is made clear and everything is exposed. It’s easy to lose one’s self in the mysteries of night. The world seems simpler there. It’s easier to hide there. But the bravest of us, the most honest of us, the everyday and caring of us, live in the light.

I love photos that show movement like this!!!

Makes me pine for the city a bit . . . dark roads here are only illuminated by the headlights from your car . . . and them BAM! Deer.

    Just kidding . . . but not really . . . there are also skunks, wild turkey, raccoon . . .

OMG, that is such the truth–since having kids, I rarely get outside after 5pm. That’s usually when we start dinner, baths, etc.

Hello! I am fairly new to blogging, And recently wrote a post that I titled “Shh…don’t tell mommy, k?” Them, being the dork I am, googled it to see if I showed up on google, when it brought me to one of your posts titled the same! I didn’t copy it, I swear!! :) Anyways, just wanted to let you know I HAD to go to the beginning of your blog and couldn’t stop reading! I finally caught up. Whew!

There is something forbidden about the night once you have kids. No more evening walks or late dinners at your favorite restaurant :-(

No bright lights here…. pitch black at night. Pitch.

    I love it!!!

When my city-boy uncle Paul visits, he always complains because it is too quiet at night!

    Blessings!

Oh Sandy, I’ve been reading up on all the posts I’ve missed, like 30??? I love the stickeritis – it’s not cheesy! I hope everything will be ok at the Ob/gyn, usually it turns up ok on the second set of results right? Keep trying – you’ll get knocked up eventually and have your family members bought their return tickets yet??? You are an amazing writer and no doubt you’ll awe everyone in the writing class.

I used to just love that as a child. I’d squint my eyes to create the streaks similar to what you produced in the photo. Then I’d make science fiction stories up in my head, or think of Beatles’ songs. Yeah, I was a weird kid.

    really cool picture.

if you don’t mind me asking… what kind of camera do you have?? do you like it?? do you love it?? would you recommend it??

you always take such great photos… i know that most of it is talent, but i’m looking for a new camera, mine has passed away… i’m trying “CPR” but not totally sure it will work… so i’m looking into what other bloggers use for their pics and also what they would recommend to get.
