PH: Wide

PhotoHunters

Theme: WIDE

I’ll be honest.  When I saw today’s theme I immediately thought of my a$$. But I’ve already documented the wide load here.  However, this shot came in close second. I found this moose in one of the many animal displays at the Harvard Museum of Natural History this past summer.  I’ve never seen one wild, so I was amazed to see how tall and HUGE it was!

I actually have seen a moose live and in person a time or two. Those things are HUGE! Great choice for the theme.

I love moose – they are the coolest things. And they are INCREDIBLY wide. Wide enough that I don’t want to mess with them in the wild.

Mine’s up… I had a hard time figuring what to do too. My first thought was to have a door wide open, but I decided on something else.

You’re so funny that you thought of your behind. When I saw the moose, my first thought was, “Yeah, definitely wide.” My second thought was Palin. (No offense necessarily intended, mind you.)

Oh please! Having seen you in person, I can attest that you have one of the skinniest a$$es I’ve seen!! Never been to the HMNH, we oughta check it out!

Oh yeah, I’ve having issues with your CommentLuv as well, only showing posts from a week and a half ago. Seems fine on other sites.

For a minute there you had me going. I thought you were actually that close to a real live moose, though I did notice the funny reflection on the horns area. I was going to ask how long you were in the hospital. Moose tend to have short tempers. We have one that likes to run wild in the park every spring that has caused all kinds of problems.

Can you tell I live in Montana?

Wonderful take on this week’s theme! I’d forgotten that it’s Saturday, and I’ve only posted on one blog (the one I signed in with) so perhaps I’ll ‘play’ on one of my other blogs later?

One more time – only because the 69 other people who have told you this apparently didn’t say it loud enough – ” YOU DO NOT HAVE A FAT ASS !! “. Good lord, woman. You know – you have to have enough back there to keep your bones off the bed. I’m just sayin’. The moose is big. YOU, are not.

p.s. I did NOT make that number up. There really were 69 responses to that post about “Sex in the City” – although somebody is bound to go there and change that number – and I thought that was really … funny.

I’m sort of relieved to hear this was a museum pic. I’d hate to have wondered what happened next after this shot was taken. Moose are, indeed, LARGE.

That is a huge rack that moose has…

Last night we went to Applebee’s in the middle of Anchorage. As we were pulling into the parking lot, I saw what I thought was a sculpture of a moose. Nope. It was a real moose, hanging out next to a busy street, munching on a bush. Still seems really really strange to live in a place where you regularly see moose and bear and ravens and bald eagles.

Have seen moose live. Once it was a little more up close than I liked it to be. That can happen when you are hiking in their habitat and YES! they are very very large and powerful. I backed away and tried to keep a big tree between him and me. John wanted to take a picture and he did. I wanted to punch him! Very dumb thing to do! One time while driving to one of the lakes we like to go to we saw a mother cow and her two calf’s. They were adorable. They stood on the road for a long time until she got them to move along. I was a little afraid that she would charge the car.
