Remembering
Over the weekend, Lee and Em hosted a virtual wagon parade to celebrate the life of Tuesday Fiona Whitt. One of Tuesday’s favorite things was “Wagie rides,” and her family had their own celebration in Colorado over the weekend. Since many of us around the blogosphere could not attend, we are posting photos of our own in support of her family and to honor Tuesday’s life. Feel free to join in the parade by clicking on the banner.

While remembering this sweet two- year old girl, I could certainly see why she loved wagon rides. However, the sidewalks here in Boston are still frozen, and we haven’t seen grass since November. Not to mention, we don’t own a wagon. So this weekend, we headed out for family rides of a different kind. Something we have never tried before.
Rides straight down a tall hillside.

Even I took the plunge (and held on for dear life).

It was a lovely afternoon full of blue skies, warm-ish weather, and gorgeous views.

A perfect reminder to celebrate life.

Hey girl! Those photos are awesome!! Actually looks like a lot of fun! I have been LOVING checking out all of the different versions of “wagie rides” and I’ve been touched by all of the good family time that was spent in memory of that darling girl Tuesday. Including my own family. We had an epic wagie ride yesterday which I have not posted yet but truly there was something magical going on….
Thanks for jumping on the bandwagon with us!

I do not know Tuesday and my heart goes out to her and her family. I am glad you were able to share in this celebration of life. I will stop writing for now because the thought just get me all teary eyed.

There’s nothing like a ride down a snow-covered hill to bring out the life in you! Glad you had such a wonderful day.

2 years old. Not fair. That’s so sad. However, your rides look like fun. Babisodes seems unafraid and ready to go. Sorry your winter’s so bad. We’ve got a break this week — it’s 20 degrees only at night. In the daytime it’s 40-50.

What a beautiful way to remember little Tuesday. We see so many small cancer fighters every time we have to go to the clinic. It breaks out hearts. This would be a wonderful way to remember them all.

I LOVE sledding–it’s about all we can do in WI in the Winter time. Very cool idea for remembering that little girl. I can’t even imagine losing a child.

I knew nothing of this until now. All I can say is my heart goes out to the family of that little girl. There is no pain like that of losing a child.

Looks like so much fun! I wish we got snow like that!
My husband did the unthinkable and burned the candle I had on the counter to mail you so I need you to tell me you favorite vice…Starbucks, etc? so I can send you a gift card since he ruined my prize for you.
I married a troll. LOL!
