See you on the flip side
In just a few hours, I hope to be in Chicago for my first large blogging conference. Soon, I will have the chance to meet many of you face-to-face, to hug tightly, and to tell you how much your friendship and comments here truly mean.
However, some of you will not be there. But I hope you know that my gratitude is no different.
All of your emails, devoted prayers, and constant support over the last year have meant more to me than I could ever express with mere words and poor grammar. I could have never made it through the journey of trying to conceive without all of you.
So thank you. And I hope you will continue to follow me along this anticipated journey through pregnancy.
But before that, I must leave on an airplane. This will be my first time leaving my daughter for more than 24 hours, only my second time flying alone, and I will have a follow-up biopsy soon after I return.
I am nervous to say the least.
And that is the last thing my body needs right now. In fact, all I want to do is sleep (I was the same way during my first trimester with my daughter). I apologize in advance if you catch me snoring during the conference sessions. I hope to steal some sleep whenever possible between meetings and parties.
So while I’m away, I may be scarce around this place. But I promise to get to all of your blogs again real soon.

I do understand about only wanting to sleep. With all three that is what I wanted more than anything — to sleep. Not so good the first time round when I was still in college — professors seem to frown on you sleeping during their less than exciting lectures.

I haven’t been reading any blogs lately so I missed your big, exciting news. I’m so happy for you. I hope your having a really good time at Blogher. I’ve been spending a lot of time on Farm Town and Farmville lately. It requires very little interaction with others and keeps me from dwelling on all my aches, pains, and other assorted ills. But – I’m making progress in the area of wanting to have a life outside my computer, especially my very own little computer where no one else dwells. I may not ever go out much again, but at least I’m making contact with my online friends. Glad to hear your good news!!!!

I’m glad I got to meet you, if only briefly, in Chicago. My only regret about the weekend is that I couldn’t figure out how to make it twice as long so I could spend more time talking to everyone. Know I’m thinking about you and wishing you all good news on the health front.
