See’s Candies Mother’s Day Giveaway
The month of May is pure insanity in our house.
What should be a time to celebrate mothers (*ahem* May 10th) will be spent this year down in Florida on vacation, dodging Swine Flu bugs with expensive masks and gobs of hand sanitizer.
Not to mention, Dadisodes AND my good friend Buddisodes both have birthdays flanking Mother’s day. And we will all be in Florida during that time.
Can you say, “Stealing my thunder?”
But it’s all good. Because I have it all figured out.
This past Easter holiday, I was introduced to the beauty of See’s Candies custom mix candy boxes (which we polished off in no time). You can fill an entire box of chocolates with precisely the candies you want. None of those, “Surprise! What the heck was that in the middle.”
I will fully admit that since then, I am sold. Hook, line and sinker.
So to make up for my absence online for this Mother’s Day, I am giving away a $25 See’s Candies gift card!
Just leave a comment below saying you’re interested in winning (or something along the lines that you would like to enter, because I’m not psychic). You don’t need to be a mom to enter. A winner will be chosen with a random number generator on Sunday, just in time to shop for Mother’s Day Gifts!
As for my Mother’s day…I mean, Dadisodes and Buddisodes’ birthday, I am ordering two boxes of See’s Candies filled with all of my favorites and having them sent to Florida. I don’t even have to worry about cramming them into my suitcase between socks and panties.
And hopefully, they will both be kind enough to share on Mother’s Day.

1st – I’m so glad that you’re going on your belated honeymoon. I don’t even think FL is on the map yet (however we have had our first case just a few miles from us. Looks very much like the flu.)

A school two blocks from us already closed down because of a reported case. I guess I won’t be shaking too many hands anytime soon.

I too am feeling the pain of having a birthday flanking Mother’s Day. (May 12th) To add insult to injury, we are generally at a race track. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching my daughter or hubby race. But you’d think we could take off one weekend. After all, it’s my weekend. But I’ll let you in on a little secret. There is always chocolate in our pit because chocolate fixes everything from miffed moms to our drama filled driver.

What a beautiful idea to give something away to someone for mother’s day. This year my son is working in Japan, but traveling in Indonesia and he is not near internet or telephone. Mother’s day will feel a little different, but I know he is having a good time.
