So What If I Am Late?
I’m a mom. That should be the universally accepted excuse for tardiness.
Since 2008 began, Tuesdays have become my one day each week where I make a regular attempt at putting a dent in my list of meme’s, but somehow I always manage to attract a few more….
2008 New Years Questions

1. At what age do you wish to marry?
- In kindergarten, I wanted to marry when I was 10.
- At 10, I wanted to marry when I was 12 (to Jordan Knight).
- At 12, I decided I only wanted a dog and no kids.
- When I was 23, I met someone who changed my mind.
- When I was 24, the bastard changed his mind.
- At 27, I took the plunge with someone who promised to never change his mind, and made me want to have children. We married at an age we both wanted to and have no regrets.
2. What color do you like most?
Just one? Um…probably black. I tend to wear it the most.
3. Where is the place that you want to go the most?
Right now? ANY PLACE WARM! And if there is a beach and ocean, even better.
4. Which part of you do you hate the most?
Just one? My rack. Breastfeeding may be natural, but the aftermath is disastrous.
5. When you encounter a sad moment, what would you do?
Cry. And cry some more. I’m a blubbering mess these days. See yesterdays post if you don’t believe me.
6. What are you afraid to lose the most?
My life and my family. Witnessing death frequently throughout my career has only intensified this fear.
7. If you win $1 million, what would you do?
Pee my pants.
Then pay off our house, car, get a second car, give some to family, INVEST, and save…all AFTER I take a vacation to the place in #3.
8. What’s your wish for the year ahead?
For my family to be healthy and happy.
9. How did you celebrate the New Year?

I think I was sitting in front of my computer drinking from a non-alcoholic bottle of sparkling apple cider while hubby was asleep on the couch. Yup, we’re losers.
10. Till now, what is the moment that you regret the most?
Not spending as much time as I could have with my daughter after she was born. I returned to work in the hospital almost immediately, and then added another job online.
11. Which type of person do you hate the most?
Killers, liars and abusers. But mostly, the stupid people who don’t yield or signal on the road.
12. What is your ambition?
Aside from not losing my marbles on a daily basis, I just want to live a happy, fulfilling life with my family and provide them with the ability to do the same.
13. If you had one wish what would you wish for?
- My alter ego wishes for the ability to eat an entire cheesecake and not gain an ounce.
- Sandy wishes for good health for her and her family.
14. Name one of your body parts your hubby or boyfriend tells you he adores:
Ha! He says he loves “my heart.” My hormones will go ahead and translate that into- “Sandy, you ain’t lookin’ so fly these days, but ba-beh, I love who you are on the in-side.” *insert slimy salesman wink*

15. What is the best gift you can give someone this year?
Since I’m broke, friendship and love.
16. List two of your Top Ten New Year’s Resolutions.
I will most likely, probably, maybe aim to…
- Socialize- Stop being such a hermit in front of this black hole that is my MacBook, and actual speak to grown ups. In public. Outside.
- Lose weight- Maybe 2 pounds, 10 pounds, or somewhere in between. And eating only lettuce from December 25th to the 31st in 2008 to meet my goal is completely acceptable
17. What is the craziest thing you’ll do or have done in 2008? (I added this one)
Joined Blog365. I’m a sucker for punishment, and serene white rooms in solitude.
18. What are the Top 2 things that you are most thankful for the year 2007 that made you even more happier for 2008?
- Moving 3,000 miles away from family.
- Buying a home (moving in 2.5 weeks!)
19. What was the best lesson you learned in 2007?
Breathe.
20. In this very moment, are you doing what you thought you’d be doing at this stage in your life?
Yes and no. The marriage and child part is covered. But the mansion, maids, and masseuses are missing. And Jordan Knight or Michael Buble are not serenading me to sleep every night *sigh*

Girl, now that I’m a mommy myself, I totally understand on the “tardiness” excuse. LOL It’s not an excuse, it’s true! Our babies come first and everything else, has to wait.

To clarify a point here – it is NOT breast-feeding that ruins the rack. It is the changes that occur during pregnancy. You just don’t realize that when you breast-feed. Actually breast-feeding repairs some of the damage. Think what you would look like otherwise! I know this because I read it in a book when I was breast-feeding.
Love your meme. I’m gonna accept your tag for a day when my brain is resting. Always need an emergency post to keep going for 365.

Hmmm … although I read all your previous posts (and am SURE I left comments on each one when I read them, I don’t see any comments from me so I must have skipped a step … and I’m reminded here how when checking with AmExp folks to find out why there was a late charge on this month’s bill and the previous bill apparently wasn’t paid when I have a record of doing so electronically, I learned the bank had sent the payment to a different credit card by mistake … sheesh! Gotta pay more attention I guess. It took a couple of hours but it’s all straightened out and the late charge removed, interest rate returned to what it was, etc. Sigh) and that brings me back to my comments … I’ve posted twice since my 101 things post and plan to post again in a few minutes, (am planning to pass along the lovely award YOU gave me a while back and more You Make MY Day Awards) but am taking a break from getting my list to 85 or so things. I also posted at Sacred Ruminations already today so I’ve been BUSY BUSY BUSY and NEED a break … Seriously! Although I’ve played with Molly, she’s ready to BITE me if I don’t take her for a walk soon. LOL
I loved the Meme and if I wasn’t overloaded at the moment I’d tag myself but Eve and Kara have already tagged me for different memes recently, I’ve got to finish my 101 things about me, tomorrow is T-13 and Friday Haiku … so maybe I’ll think about it next week (or the week after … or maybe a month from now?). I suspect folks will already know more than they want to know about me for a while anyway … but I’m rambling.
Moving in less than 3 weeks, eh? I’ll bet YOU’RE busy too! Take care …
