Something Came For You In The Mail…
I’m debating whether or not to give my husband a second chance. For those who are new comers, my husband gave me the worst- gift- ever recently for my 30th birthday (that would be- na-da, zilch, nothing).
He read my blog entry about the fiasco. And of course, I was greeted by the lame excuse, “I told you to give me a list of things you wanted…”
*eh-hem*
Because that my friends, truly defines what woman really long for when receiving gifts from the heart. I’ll be sure to draw up my list next time we’re in bed. Uh honey… Can you please pass the Sharpie? I need something to cross off each item with.
Since my birthday is only a few weeks off from Christmas, I figured I better get started on my wish list pronto! Heads are gonna roll in this house if I find another car accessory in my stocking this year.
So honey, if you are reading this. You asked for a list? Ask and ye shall receive…
It’s all there, with photos, details and prices (don’t worry. All prices have been cropped or blurred to protect those with a heart condition).
In fact, this catalog was mailed and addressed to you! Although I’m sure they would love for you to invest in some sleek, overpriced sterling silver cuff links, I believe they would prefer you bought something for me. And NO, there are no high-end tire pressure gauges in there.
What about this one? It’s even the same color as my birthstone…
Wait. Scratch that. I’m not sure I trust you with colored stones. One of these would make a lovely gift…
Or, since my diamond looks like a dust particle that blew off one of these (not a lie), why not upgrade my engagement ring to an adult size one?
Just thought I would make it as simple as possible for you, hun.

I need to do this for my husband also. Particularly if it has the page on it with the tag necklace. I’ve wanted thetoggle necklace tag necklace from Tiffany & Co. forevvvvvvvvvver. That’s a good idea!

WAIT! Don’t give up on him, it’s not the worst present ever. I have a friend whose husband got her…. are you ready? A THERMOS for her birthday (the year after he bought her a yard-sale board game). That’s romance for you.

LOVE your list. Love your taste!! I’m a HUGE Tiffany’s fan… so much that I just call them Tiff’s. LOL!! I agree with you… since dear hubby wanted a list… he is now obligated to buy you something or a few things from the list!! How awesome!! I think when my husband asks me what I would like as a gift… I’ll have to refrence back to the Tiffany Manual!! ;o) Ha! Good Luck! Hugs, Jenn

Sometimes we (husbands) do not pay enough attention to our wives, and we feel we’re losing them, we do EVERYTHING. After a problem like yours, I decided to pay a lot more attention to every single word, gesture, feeling, reaction of my wife. When she commented about a friend’s beautiful ring, I immediately browsed the Internet looking for something similar. This is what I found:

The problem now is that she said she will be more careful with her words
