Throwin’ Down A Twofer
Friday, January 4th, 2008Just when you think you’ve done every friggin’ meme in the blogosphere, a commenting whisper says…”hey, come see my blog….” FOR THE LOVE OF GOLB (I don’t know. It’s “Blog” spelled backwards), I know there are still three hundred and sixty one more days still left in Blog 365, but c’mon! Do I have a meme-honing device permanently implanted on my virtual ass? I know it’s cute and all, but please… tap it occasionally. Or else it’s just gonna get old.
Oh! And BTW, those of you pointing your fingers at Moi to blame for joining Blog 365 (Jennic, Bill, Jientje, storyteller, Manda, Adrienne, LouCeeL, Sadie) and anyone else who would like to join that list, I’m starting a sign up sheet called- “Those blaming Sandy at Momisodes for the Blog365 S & M” (inspired by Bill himself). Apparently you all think it’s my fault for luring you into the state of insanity. Leave a comment below and I’ll add you to the list.
Anyhow, I’m throwing down a twofer today despite the multiple hits. My gray matter can only transmit a specific amount of memefied information at once, so other meme’s will come later.

1. How long have you been blogging?
I created a Blogger and WordPress account in March of 2007, but never really posted many entries in fear of people actually reading about my life and sounding like a complete moron.
So instead of rambling on and on about my uneventful life as a WAHM (work-at-home-mom) or divulging about the intricacies of my life, I began digging my way through the blogosphere and lurked my way around exploring (probably to all of your blog’s and more). I posted an entry here and there, but timidly. I wanted to see what people were talking about first, read up on blogging advice, and just find out if this was something worth investing my time into since I would be publishing my life … to the world.
By late October of 2007, I finally felt ready and determined to use blogging as my outlet to express, create and explore, and dove head first into self-hosting Momisodes just before November 1st, 2007.
So officially, about 2.5 months.
2. What inspired you to start a blog and who are your mentors?
Every single blog in the blogosphere that I visit inspires me. Really, if did not take the time wade through the courage and candidness on other blogs, I would have never started. The one blogger whom I consistently turn to because of her talents as a writer, mother of 3, and uber bloggerness is Kerflop. Her blog actually nudged me into self-hosting. But every blogger I’ve read has unknowingly held my hand throughout my journey.
3. Are you trying to make money online, or just doing it for fun?
Both.
Blogging has offered me overwhelming benefits to my sanity and well-being. So if I can make a few dol-lahs to cover the costs of self-hosting my “therapy,”…then cool ![]()
(refer to post for Blog Ad info: Laying it all out & Baring it all on Ads)
4. What 3 things do you love about being online?
1- It gives me something to do when it’s 2 freaking degrees outside!!! (For the love of GOLB! I hate winter!)
2- LMAO at the expense of other people’s blog’s. What? Ya’ll put it out there. I just point and laugh.
3- Twittering- we have not been fully acquainted, but I do love you so (please feel free to follow me there if you have an account. I heart stalkers).
5. What 3 things do you struggle with online?
1- Managing my online work (ConnectingMoms & MillionMomPicturePage).
2- Balancing my online work with my blogging life (and yes, blogging does take on it’s own identity).
3- Balancing my online work, my blogging life, and my life offline.
I’m tagging some newer additions to my blogroll.
Here is your mission if you choose to accept it: Nap Warden, Clumsy mommy, Chris’s Coop, Busy Dad Blog, Not So Crafty, From Here to There, A Little Space For Me, LouCeeL, Love4Kids, Mariposa’s Tales, Redefining Perfect, and anyone else I did not include that would like to play. Leave a comment below and I’ll link you into the post. Also, anyone needing a post for Blog365… play.
A New Year’s Meme

Rules: Go through your archives and list your favorite/most popular post for each month in 2007.
This should give everyone the opportunity to dip into the shallow depths of my blog archives. It’s slim pickin’s folks!
- March 2007 - Twenty-Something – *sigh* When I was still a twenty-something mom, and was mentally hashing out the judgmental bullshit that comes with joining the motherhood sorority.
- April 2007 - The eX Box - Nope, it is not about the dorky gamer in me. It’s all about my Ex’s, and all of the hot and steamy sex we had…hehe. You wish (or maybe I wish)! What? Don’t run away. It’s PG.
- May 2007 – NYC Dra-mom-a- A short outline of my 24-hour trip to NYC (alone), and the shameless drama along the way.
- June 07 to Aug 07 – Nothing posted….
- Sept 07 – Flipping Out Here- A quick funny (in retrospect).
- Oct 07 - We’ve Been Sucked into the Cheese. Chuck-E Style. One of my first comments ever was on this post from Manda (psst! She started self-hosting, and she’s rocks.)
- Nov 07 – Would it be blasphemous if I posted a meme for a meme?
Too bad. Here, have a meme here, here and here (one of my favorites). - Dec 07 - Childhood Crush Confession 101- So you think you’re a dork? Read this one, I’m worse.
Tagging: Anyone. The same applies here as the meme above.
If you actually read through all of this or any of those links back to my previous posts, you really deserve a reward. I’d send you a cookie, but I ate them all. Sorry.
Gotta run to see all of your blogs now…..Happy Friday!
