I’m starting to feel a bit weary about this blog. I think I need to stop looking at my Feedburner stats. I’ve developed yet another addiction. I am constantly checking to see which cities visitors to Momisodes are coming from.

I suppose this all sparked from a little incident that happened a few weeks ago. Some of you may have noticed that in my email replies, I used to have this in as my signature:

I had this set as my automated signature on my Gmail account, since all of your comments are sent there. Sadly, this account is where family and friends also send me email. So you can probably guess how I completely screwed up.

In the past few months I’ve replied to several family emails without deleting my signature. So when I noticed 2 incoming visitors from Miami (my hometown) on my Feedburner stats, my stomach overturned. Later that day I had a manic phone call from my mother screaming, “What the hell is going on? What is this about your house being haunted?”

*Runs to room and hides under covers* (Note to self- delete all posts about mom)

I have a hunch that my mom is not the only family member that has found my blog. I’ve seen recent incoming stats from cities where other friends and family live, as well as some of my ex’s.

Am I being paranoid?

Needless to say I regret not using an alias for this blog. But what’s done is done. I deleted my email signature and type it in manually now. I’ve also deleted my last name on most of my online accounts that will link to this blog.

Sometimes I feel like I lead a secret life online blogging. Especially while spending time with people offline who do not know about Momisodes.
