Theme: Skinny

…I was and I wish I still were.

I RARELY post photos of myself on this blog, but earlier this week I came across some old photographs (should explain Thursday’s post) and found this one of me and my friend Liza and immediately thought, “Gawd, I was skinny!”……*sigh*

This photo was taken in my South Beach studio apartment in front of what could possibly be the largest piece of furniture I’ve ever owned. Please excuse the lack of clothing, but summers in Miami are stiflingly HOT and HUMID. Besides, practically everyone on South Beach lives in a bathing suit, just be glad that photo isn’t up today.

Anyhow, I was 24 years old, single (sort of), and loved every waking moment of my life here. Somehow I knew that my time in this exciting and infectious city would be short, so every day was a savored treat. From the smoky crowded lounges, to the clandestine spots along the sand, I remember them all. And I visit them frequently in my thoughts and sometimes through photos like these…

…and when I attempt to tan through osmosis
