I’m starting to feel poor.

Not physically (although my hoo-ha is still tender), but financially. And its not because Dadisodes and I are currently unemployed. Its because of some my research findings.

I’ve been checking out preschools.

Those who have been following here know that we are less than satisfied with Babisodes’ preschool and are considering removing her from her current program to start her elsewhere when funds allow.

We want her to attend preschool.  Especially since her birthday falls on the 5-year old cut-off date to start kindergarten.  This will make her the absolute youngest in her class when she starts elementary school, and throughout her entire school career.  However, until someone in our house starts depositing paychecks again, the cost of preschool tuition is a heavy burden every month.

Or so I thought.

I’ve been reticent about Babisodes’ preschool on this blog.  It is by no stretch of the means a fancy, well-recognized school.  In fact, we chose it mainly for its diversity. The school accepts private paying and government funded families. So there is a wide spectrum of kids ranging from upper-middle to lower income families.  Which we felt was great.  Plus, the tuition was reasonable (sort of).

However, the school doesn’t seem to be working out for us anymore.

So I began calling all of the preschools in our area.  And to be quite honest, home schooling is looking greater every.single.day.

These are some of the preschool tuition prices in our area for 3 HALF DAYS/week: (more…)
