Sometimes the most unexpected things happened when we are least prepared.  Then there is of course good ‘ol Murphy and his Law.  Where if anything could go wrong, it will.  Like when a mother prepares an outdoor carnival party for 40 kids and 10+ adults, and the weather forecasts rain, for only that day in an entire month. But what about those moments that you don’t plan for, that catch you completely off guard.

This morning started like any other Monday.  Only today, it started an hour earlier since my daughter has no grasp of daylight savings. My body struggled to recover from the usual weekend family time hangover, as I hobbled around wrapped in a throw blanket.   “Mommy, my ear hurts! My ear huuuuuuurts.  Dis one. Owwwwww!”  After a few quick calls to her pediatrician, and a minor threat to utilize their Otoscope myself if they didn’t squeeze her in , landed us an appointment 10 minutes after I hung up the phone.
