The daze before Christmas
In case you were wondering, I am still alive.
But I do believe that the holidays may kill me.
My apologies for neglecting the blogosphere for several days, but I have been quarantined to the hole in my upstairs bedroom.
Between a slew of holiday parties, insane post office lines, and dodging crazy shoppers at Target, my body has finally given up.
Despite getting both the seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccine several weeks ago, I managed to come down with the one thing I am not immune to- Laryngitis.
A constant low-grade fever, full body aches, feeling like I swallowed two Brillo pads, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I am SO sorry you are not feeling well. Being pregnant and being sick is absolutely THE WORST! I am sending you cyber hugs. Your little belly is SO cute. My baby could eat yours at this point I am getting so big. Not that this little one would ever do that…just sayin’. Feel better soon! And oh – make people wait on you. You deserve it.

So sorry to hear you’ve been under the weather. That stinks when you’re pregnant – especially when there is so few over the counter choices you can take. (That’s when being married to a Chinese Medicine Doctor is a godsend!) Hope you’re back to yourself soon! Love the picture. I wish I had done this during my pregnancy. “‘Tis the season to be weary.” I’ve tried to cut out some of that stuff because it just wears me out, so I can relate. This time of year it seems people get sick easier, and we get run down and worn out trying to do it all and celebreate it all.
