They really are magical
…and delicious, too.
These marshmallow-y bits of heaven have become my new obsession craving.
I have no idea how I’ve suddenly morphed into Seinfeld, requiring a cupboard stocked full of cereal.
Because pre-pregnancy (heck, even two months ago), I avoided milk at all costs.
Not that my body could not tolerate it or anything. It’s just that I never really enjoyed the flavor of it.
So I’m guessing my body must be craving calcium and/or vitamin D these days (the box specifically states it has both!)
As soon as I reached the third trimester, food consumes my every thought.
It is no coincidence that four of my last five entries have been about food or eating.
Before going to bed, I’m already mentally planning breakfast. By 9:30am, I’m reaching for a snack, and lunchtime has now been bumped up to before noon. My body cannot seem to endure very long between meals.
Which would be fine, except my meals are not exactly small.
And for the ultimate mind trip?
I walk through a grocery store.
It tests every ounce of my self-control.
So I try to avoid it as much as possible.
Only by last Monday, we had nothing left in our kitchen except a heal slice of bread, dog kibble and saltines.
I had to make a quick run to the market for just a few things to tide us over.
To the chagrin of my buttocks, Lucky Charms were on sale. SALE!
I bought a few boxes.
We should be good until Friday.
Ohhhh….the charms…lucky you!

Lucky Charms are so yummy! I just hate what they do to the top of my mouth where it feels all raw from all that sugar. Boy, I do love them, though! And INDULGE! You reserve the right to do it right now.

My last trimester, I ate at least two boxes of Cinnamon Swirl Life cereal and three large containers of yogurt a week (most of those in the middle of the night, when I’d wake up, ravenous {and to pee}).
There’s no rhyme or reason – you just obey.

I think there is something childlike about the marshmallows that makes them so delicious. When your baby is old enough to eat cereal you may want to see if they hate Lucky Charms. My guess is that they will be after having so much already.

I don’t know how you go all night! I would wake up to pee at least 4 times and by the wee hours of the morning I was eating whatever crackers I could find. It got so bad I would leave them on the nightstand so I didn’t have to go to far to snack.

Hahaha! I love Lucky Charms. A few years ago, they made chocolate Lucky Charms and Oh Em Gee, they were awesome! However, they were so sweet, that I would eat a bowl and have to lay down because of the head rush!

I know how hard you were trying to get pregnant, so Lucky Charms for a ‘lucky charm’ seems appropriate.

I was ravenous in my second trimester the way you sound in your third. My third, especially the last 6 weeks I remember just maintaining my weight, not so hungry.

I can’t believe I’ve never tried Lucky Charms … but I’ll tell ya that those delicious looking cinnamon rolls in the previous post have me yearning for something sweet … and the local donut shop a few blocks away is calling to me right now. Methinks I’ll make some oatmeal and see if that does the trick, but I may be headed out soon even though it’s dark still.

Yum! I love lucky charms as do the kids. You have no reason to worry since you are pregnant and are free to eat the little sweet pieces of heaven. I will have to cut back at last after next week. Gosh I am eating lunch now but now I am wishing for the leprechaun!
