I can never buy Halloween candy ahead of time and it last until the 31st. I’ve already gone through three bags. It’s reassuring to know I’m in good company.
Yep, happens to me every year too. If I’d just buy the crap candy I think I could avoid the problem, but I’ll be damned if I’ll hand out Smartees and Peeps instead of Reeses or Kit Kats.
Having gone to the store too late to buy my Halloween candy more years than I can count, I have to say it doesn’t matter if you eat it, or if someone else buys it before you do, the result will be the same: nothing to hand out on Halloween night. *chuckle* At least you tried.
Didn’t you know, it’s a fact that chocolate and sweets have a little inner voice that is specifically tuned to a woman’s wavelength.
You don’t stand a chance.
Ohhh yummie!! I don’t think we have that in Europe, Halloween candy,
What’s in it? Peanut butter, chocolate, butter and sugar no doubt?
Sounds delicious!! Oh and they weigh only 21g? I’ll have one more then!
Oh dang…for weeks now I’ve been seeing the “Halloween” candy commercial for Reese’s, and crave ‘em each time but have been good and not hopping in the car and rushing to the store for a ‘fix’!! Now look what you’ve done to me….LOL….where’s the car keys?
My wordless is a linked image this week…all for fun. Just click on it.
HAPPY WORDLESS WEDNESDAY.
There’s one good thing about being a Type II Diabetic. It seriously cuts into the temptation to just dive head first into the candy bowl. So I’m left to just occasionally nibble around the edges, so to speak.
Yep! Happens to me every time. Is it bad that with every trip to the grocery store that I think: Maybe I should just buy it now so I can start eating it rather than my continous pining? What I would do for some peanut butter/chocolately goodness?!
Looks like you bought your Halloween candy too early! Since we always have candy around the house, I had to cut back in October so that Halloween would be special.
I am exactly the same way. I’ve started buying candy that I don’t like so I’m not tempted to partake early. However, I make up for all that on Halloween when I gladly take candy off that my children don’t like off their hands.
Whoops … no comment luv link … so guess I entered my link wrong. I have posted on both blogs today … almost wordlessly at Sacred Ruminations & ‘Whimsically Wordier’ at Small Reflections.
Hugs and blessings,
We will not be buying candy this year since hubby is going to be away for Halloween. I will have to deal with the candy that my parents have for those days. Good luck!
I always have this problem because I only buy my favorite candy and ofcourse after a week it’s gone. Maybe this year I’ll only buy candy I don’t like but who am I kidding I’ll probably eat that too.
Hee hee! That is why I don’t buy it at all. Oh, and b/c I’m cheap. I take some of the kids’ collected candy and hand that out (we only get a few people that come to our door). Don’t tell me kids though!
And that my dear is precisely why I do not buy until the very last minute. Last year I bought too much. You should have seen the looks on the faces at the kids who came at the end of the evening when I put handfuls of stuff in their bags. Their jaws dropped and they stuttered “Th..th..thank you!” The only other solution I can think of is to buy stuff I don’t like. Problem with that is I will eat anything even the crap candy.
Oh ya, it’s way too soon to have all that candy in the house. LOL
If you are in the shopping mood…
